Personal, handmade gauged jewelry

I began making gauged jewelry about a decade ago. It all began because I could never really find exactly the kind of earrings I was wanting without them being 1. made of materials I didn't want to wear (horn, bone, etc) and 2. crazy expensive! So I began making them for myself...
I went on that way for years, learning more and more about polymer clay and ways to manipulate it and making jewelry for myself I couldn't find elsewhere. I eventually began taking requests from friends, co-workers and the like and making custom jewelry for other people which was a super fun new challenge; to create someone else's imagined design!
I set up my first Etsy shop at the end of 2016 with my first listings being polymer clay spirals for gauged ears. In that time I've done a number of challenging and fun custom polymer clay commissions and have loved doing every one of them, but I found that I'd also fallen in love with more classic jewelry design. I love experimenting with different materials-wood, wire and metals, pearls, etc. After almost two years of listing gauged jewelry alongside more traditional jewelry, I've decided to finally split the two types into separate Etsy shops, and now here we have SanguintineCustom!
